To thine own self be true - online exhibition

It’s not always easy being ourselves and sometimes we’re afraid to be who we are in case others judge us. But being true to ourselves is important for our wellbeing and self-esteem. For Shakespeare Week 2021 we invited children to explore their identities and be proud of themselves.

We also asked several well-known children’s figures including CBeebies presenter Ben Cajee, CBBC's Nikki Lilly and award-winning children’s author and illustrator, Marcia Williams, to explore their identities by responding to the famous Shakespeare quote from Hamlet:
